Michigan police are cracking down on a group that had been impersonating cops for years. The group called themselves the Genesee County Fire and EMS Media-Genesee County Task Force Blight Agency. They often acted as police at parks, house fires, scenes of car accidents and crime scenes. Sometimes real police at the scenes would even give them tasks to do thinking they were real cops. An investigation into the group started following a complaint that Genessee County park rangers were using excessive force. So far Emily Nicole Burrison and Jeffery Lee Jones have been arrested in connection with the group and a third man has also been charged for working with them. The trio is charged with three counts of unlawful imprisonment and one counts of impersonating a peace officer to commit a crime.
