The Minersville, Pennsylvania, Police Department received a letter last week from someone looking to clear their conscience and pay a parking ticket from 1974. The note said "Dear PD, I've been carrying this ticket around for 40 plus years. Always intending to pay. Forgive me if I don't give you my info. With respect, Dave." The ticket was for $2, so the person sent and extra $3 for interest. The same ticket would be $20 today. The police chief said the ticket was issued to an Ohio license plate, but the department did not have the technology to track out-of-state vehicles.
