According to Pennsylvania State Police a man and a woman believed high on bath salts were firing bullets into the sky to chase away "alien lasers" that were actually fireflies. Jesse Shields fired a .357 Magnum handgun at the fireflies. Shields and Katherine McCloskey thought they were being chased so they ran into a nearby home, and someone inside the home called police. The homeowner took away their gun, and Shields asked the homeowner if he could shower to “get the goo off him that was burning his skin.” They were arrested and facing charges of face charges of felony burglary, a felony criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Shields is also being charged for carrying a firearm without a license, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The two are expected in court tomorrow.
