This Heroin Tastes Like Soap

In Port St. Lucie Florida, cops were called on 29 year old Matthew Crull while he was resting in a KFC parking lot back in December. Officer Steven O'Leary found Matthew sleeping in his Astro van with an open can of beer , and a pipe with some leafy green substance in plain view. While searching the van, he found a bag wrapped with a cord which contained a white powdery substance. After a field test showed positive for heroin, and a subsequent test at the station showed positive as well, Matthew was booked, even though he said it wasn't his. Matt did admit to the beer and weed, but still claimed that it wasn't his and that he didn't do hard drugs. He stated that he just bought the van and that maybe the previous owner used it to traffic drugs. After spending six weeks in jail, investigators determined that the "heroin" was indeed laundry detergent, dropping all of Matt's charges along with 11 other cases associated to the arresting officer, causing former deputy O'Leary to lose his job.
