Vanessa Santillan was arrested after an altercation with her boyfriend on April 21st. She was in the car when they got into a heated argument and when the car came to a stop, the boyfriend exited the car. When she honked the horn the man flipped her off and reportedly sent Vanessa into a rage. The 40-year-old woman hit the gas and ran on to the sidewalk to hit her boyfriend with her car, then she fled the scene. The man was treated for injuries on his right side and received stitches. The woman told officers in a phone call that she left because she didn't think she hurt him that bad. She also claimed she “blacked out” the moment she hit the accelerator pedal and doesn’t remember the ordeal despite having visible damage to her vehicle. She was arrested three days after later and charged with aggravated assault and failing to remain at the scene of a collision with injuries.
