Indianapolis Colts Owner Buys Live Aid Piano


The owner of the Indianapolis Colts now owns a famous piano. used by Sir Elton John during a worldwide concert. Jim Irsay bought the piano Sir Elton John performed with during the 1985 Live Aid broadcast. The icon also used it on tour for nearly 20 years.

ESPN reports the Colts owner spent $915-thousand on the piano which has a history beyond the "Crocodile Rock" singer. During the Live Aid concert, Sir Paul McCartney used it to perform "Let It Be."

Irsay is quite the music memorabilia collector. He also owns guitars previously used by Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Prince.
