Women Busted For Drone Cigarette Delivery During COVID Lockdown In Hotel

When they’re bored, some people go into business for themselves. An Australian woman has been fined for using a drone to deliver cigarettes to herself at the hotel where she was in COVID quarantine. A hotel staffer watched as a drone dropped a pack of cigarettes to a woman on her room’s balcony; it’s believed a man was flying the drone from outside the hotel. That was an expensive pack of smokes; she’s been fined $1,300 for breaching COVID-19 lockdown, and the person flying the drone could be in trouble with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for violating safe flying regulations.
