Will he or won’t he – that’s the question when it comes to Matthew McConaughey running for governor in Texas. He recently discussed it with Kara Swisher on her Sway Podcast.
The Oscar winner says he’s “measuring” the idea. When the “New York Times” reporter presses him on exactly what he’s measuring, he tells her that he’s trying to figure out how he can do the most good for the most people.
For the most part, the Texas native – who hasn’t identified his party affiliation – doesn’t seem to be enthused about trying to unseat the current holder of the governorship, Republican Gregg Abbott. And since he’s convinced that politics is “broken,” he thinks he might have more influence as an informal leader.
