David Spade pays attention to social media.
Burger King employee Kevin Ford went viral this week when he showed off the company goodie bag he got for 27 years of service there. He said he was grateful, but the gifts looked like they just grabbed stuff that was laying around and added it to the bag. Lifesavers candy were in there. So…yeah.
Well, a GoFundMe was started and Ford’s daughter let him know that “someone named David Spade donated $5-thousand.” The BK employee couldn’t believe it, but sure enough Spade had DM’d him on Instagram.
The two joked back and forth, which you’d expect from the comedian. The GoFundMe has reached $30-thousand and Ford says he’ll use it to buy a Ford Hybrid and visit his daughters and grandkids in Texas.
