In Japan, a parking lot deal was set to go down between two men. The seller was the owner of an 18-carat yellow gold Rolex Yacht-Master II watch, valued at just over $53K. The buyer had agreed to buy it through a second-hand website for $47K. The deal was to be a face-to-face transaction in front of a convenience store. The deal went awry, though, when the buyer suggested the seller allow him to look the watch over while the buyer went into the store to get them both some tea. Any guesses as to what happened next? When the seller came back two minutes later, the buyer and the watch were gone, and he was just left standing there with two beverages.
