We are learning new details about the death of a Cape Cod man who was suspected of killing his mother and setting her body on fire on the front lawn of their residence. WCVB-Boston reports Adam Howe died by suicide while in custody at the Bristol County jail in New Bedford on Sunday. The body of Susan Howe was found on the front lawn of the family home in Truro on Friday night. Adam Howe was arrested and had been placed on a security watch at the jail. In a statement, Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said this tragic case illustrates the broken nature of the mental health system.
