In New York, Chautauqua County is getting the reputation as a Bigfoot hotbed. Peter Wiemer has been a sponsor of the Chautauqua Lake Bigfoot Expo since 2012. During that time, he says that “at least 45 eyewitnesses” have hit him up to talk about Sasquatch sightings, and he believes there are more than 100 more that aren’t talking. Skeptics often point to “a lack of physical evidence,” but researcher Steve Kulls says “that’s not unusual with any animal,” and he refuses to be deterred from his belief in Bigfoot.
