What happens when a local Iowa TV station assigns a sports anchor to cover a major snowstorm? Hilarity! Mark Woodley got the assignment to stand outside during the KWWL news morning show. He immediately noted that he only found out there was a 3 a.m. because of having to be up so early. Then he noted later "This is a really long show. Tune in for the next couple hours to watch me progressively get crankier and crankier.” Needless to say, Woodley is viral for his constant comments and that made. His coverage got him some new fans in people like Judd Apatow, David Cross, and NFL Network host Rich Eisen. Apatow called the Iowa sportscaster a "legend," while Cross retweeted the clip. Eisen shared the video in a tweet and wrote, "Proud of this TV work that just showed into my timeline. Well played, Mark."
