Legislation has passed through the United States House of Representatives that would bar “transgender athletes whose sex assigned at birth was male…from competing on girls’ or women’s sports teams.” This legislation would apply to any school or college that’s federally funded. The vote passed the House by a vote of 219-203. The bill will now go to the Senate, where it’s not expected to advance further.
