Francisco Oropesa, the man who allegedly killed five people in Cleveland, Texas last week, was found and arrested last night in Montgomery County, Texas, about 20 miles from where he allegedly carried out the “execution-style” mass shooting. San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said during a press conference last night that Osopesa was found “hiding in a closet underneath some laundry,” and authorities found him because of a tip called in on the FBI tip line.
Oropesa was reportedly deported at least four times, including in 2016, 2012, and twice in 2009 but Sheriff Capers, when asked at the press conference if he had a message for the survivors of the shooting, said Oropesa would “live out the rest of his days behind bars.” The anonymous person who called in the tip will receive the $100,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
