Pro Tip: Don’t Do The Road Rage Brake-Check Thing While On A Motorcycle

Road rage incidents are all too common and there are few things that are as dangerous as the tried-and-true road rage tradition of brake-checking…especially if the person doing the brake-check is on a motorcycle. In Toronto, a biker is in the hospital with “potentially life-altering injuries” after a reported road rage incident took an ugly turn. According to investigators, two bikers were each riding on opposite sides of an SUV, eventually pulled in front of the vehicle, and put on the brakes. Unable to stop in time, the SUV struck one of the bikes. No charges have been filed and an investigation is ongoing. Highway safety officers say, “Motorcyclists need to remember how vulnerable they are to injury involved in collision,” and “whether in the right or wrong, they’re likely the ones that’ll pay the price.”
