The mother of a six-year-old who shot his teacher in Virginia has pleaded guilty to federal charges. Yesterday, Deja Taylor pleaded guilty to one count of being an illegal drug user while possessing a firearm, and one count of making false statements to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. An investigation found both narcotics and marijuana in her home, along with loose ammunition and no way to secure firearms. In January, her son shot his first grade teacher, Abby Zwerner, inside her classroom. Zwerner survived and is recovering.
