Kids dressed up as animals could be removed from Oklahoma public schools by animal control under a new bill. It takes aim at the Furries subculture. They are people who wear costumes and act like cats and dogs. The legislation would prevent anyone wearing animal outfits from participating in school curriculum or activities. If a parent or guardian can’t pick the child up, then animal control will be called. Similar bills have been tried and failed. This is the first to include the animal control provision.
