A Los Angeles man is suing a cemetery after being told his mother's grave marker was placed at the wrong grave. The plaintiff's lawsuit alleges fraud, breach of contract, negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress against Forest Lawn cemetery. The complaint claims the plaintiff visited a grave marked with his mother's monument for four years. Recently Forest Lawn informed him of the misplacement. The error was discovered during another family's service last month. The lawsuit says the monument was moved to the correct site, but the mistake had caused the plaintiff to suffer significant emotional distress, shock, grief and ongoing mental anguish. The suit seeks unspecified damages.
