22-year-old criminology student at Bournemouth University, Demi Sweeney spotted a huge spider outside of her room last week. Her roommates were gone, so she messaged her friends and family for help. Someone said she should get food delivered and ask for help. So she checked with Deliveroo first to see if drivers are allowed in customers' homes. And they are, so she ordered from KFC (and accidentally ordered two meals) and added in the notes "I have spoken to Deliveroo customer service, please can you help to remove a spider for me". The driver saw her not but was also scared of spiders, but she begged him for help. Demi said "He asked how big it was and said he would give it a go, asking where it was." The spider dropped to the floor and started running away but the driver captured it and flushed it down the toilet. She thanked him many times and said "I wanted to hug him. A real life hero."
