Wet Baseball Field Was Set On Fire With Gasoline To Dry It Out

In Connecticut, somebody had the idea of the century. A high school baseball team in Ridgefield was set to host a team this weekend, but had to delay due to a soaked field. So....somebody, got the idea to pour 25 gallons of gasoline on the field, and set it on fire, in attempts to dry it out for the game. According to reports, some 75 to 100 people sat by and watched the field blaze. Workers from the state Department of Energy And Environmental Protection responded to help battle the fire, and a hazardous waste crew has begun digging up the contaminated soil, and replacing it with new.
