Chris Marckres is a double amputee and went for a jump Saturday at Vermont Skydiving Adventures. After leaping from the plane Chris lost one of his prosthetic legs. He told a news station “I think my adrenaline was so high and I was just so excited, I didn’t realize I had lost it.” He was able to land safely as he was harnessed to an instructor. Chris then put the word out on social media that he had lost his prosthetic leg. Farmer Joe Marszalkowski came to the rescue after he saw the post, before finding the prosthetic in a soybean field. “You’ve always got to keep an eye out,” he said. He compared the discovery to a needle in a haystack and said he was grateful he found the leg without running it over with a machine during the fall harvest or, God forbid, the combine sucked it up ,it would’ve destroyed it,” Marszalkowski, said.
