HOA President Stole Thousands From Community To Buys Stamps

Just when you thought your HOA fees were going to make the entrance pretty. In Florida, a former HOA President of Shady Oaks Pine community is now behind bars for not being so honest. Over the course of three years, Brett Rowe took $20,000 from the HOA's Bank Of America account. When he was elected in 2017, there was $21,000 in the account. by the time he left the position, there was about $180 left in the account. The President who called the police found evidence that Brett spent $2,000 on medical expenses, made various ATM transactions, bought $1,000 worth of stamps to add to his collection, along with purchasing chainsaws and other lawn equipment and making several other purchases at stores and restaurants. He was arrested last week over theft and scheming to defraud.
