One Italian man is doing okay after a nail was propelled into his eyelid while mowing the lawn. The International Journal of Surgery Case Reports documents how the 58-year-old was cutting the grass when the blades caused the long nail to shoot up into his face. Doctors say the shrapnel just missed his eye but hit his eyelid. They removed the nail by gently twisting it out before cleansing the wound and using antibiotics. Despite the freak accident, the man was able to fully recover his eyesight within a month.
