Ice Age Bones Found In Las Vegas Backyard

A couple in Vegas have to wait to have their pool finished. Matt Perkins and his husband recently moved to Vegas from Washington state to a newly built home, and wanted to have a pool installed. When the pool guys came and started digging, they left and came back with police. The diggers found a series of bones about 5 feet deep. Police investigated and determined that the bones were not human and that no need to raise law enforcement concerns. The Nevada Science Center Research Director said that the bones are 6-14 thousand years old and are those of a horse or similar large animal. He also said the U.S. has laws that discovered fossils belong to the property owners. Now Mr. Perkins is trying to figure out how to preserve the fossil.
