Two South Carolina Women Charged For Inhumane Treatment Of Animals

Two South Carolina women are in custody for the alleged inhumane treatment of animals. Conservation officers found several deer, over 200 squirrels, and other animals in cramped conditions in a mobile home in Lee County this week. Laura Ross and Nicole Lafaivre are charged with illegal possession of white-tailed deer, inhumane treatment of animals, and possession of non-native wildlife species. They are being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
