It was drugs, sex, and jealousy at the heart of the kidnapping, murder, and officer-involved shooting in Evansville, Indiana. New documents give insight into just what happened early Wednesday morning. Investigators say 36-year-old Heidi Carter invited a couple over for drugs and sex, but things went bad when her boyfriend returned home and got jealous. Police say the boyfriend, Carey Hammond, beat the couple with a baseball bat before tying them up and raping the woman. A little while later, police say Hammond killed the man because he was trying to break free. Evansville Police say they shot Hammond when he came out of the house, pointed something at them, and got into a shooters' stance. Carter is in jail and facing a list of charges while the other woman is recovering.
