Dallas Aquarium To Face Second Lawsuit

The Dallas Aquarium is facing a second lawsuit after a giant otter attacked a toddler. A Fort Worth family is seeking up to one-million dollars in damages for the September 2019 attack on their two-year-old daughter. The girl, who was sitting on her father's shoulders at the time of the attack, was bitten on the hand after a giant otter apparently reached across the glass barrier. The lawsuit alleges that the aquarium failed to post signage around the otter habitat to warn visitors that the animals were aggressive. This latest lawsuit comes after an infant was attacked by a giant otter in May 2021. Complaints of similar occurrences date back to 2007.
