A San Francisco rooster is being removed from the Tenderloin after numerous noise complaints. Residents say the male bird, which turned up in the yard of a dense housing complex in January, had been crowing at all hours of the day. Though it is legal to own a rooster in San Francisco, Supervisor Matt Haney confirms it was turned in to Animal Care. Haney, who lives in the Tenderloin and heard the crowing, adds it is his understanding that it'll be sent to a more appropriate home on a farm.
