Cargo Ship Captain Busted After Cocaine Seized In Drug Bust

According to the Australian Federal Police, the 51 year old cargo ship captain carried cocaine worth about $128 million into Australian waters, and dumped the packages wrapped in plastic into the ocean. The next day, two men were arrested for collecting the drugs which were found in a campervan not too far away from the drop point. Police searched the captain's phone and found messages about the attempted smuggling and arrested the captain. The captain has been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug, and is facing a maximum of life in prison. The other two men that collected the dope are still in custody awaiting trial.
