Mail Carrier Dies After Being Mauled By 5 Dogs

This past Sunday, a 61 year old postal worker in Florida was delivering mail when her truck broke down. That's when 5 neighborhood dogs attacked the woman. When police arrived, they found the woman on the ground and the dogs inside a fence at a nearby home. Residents say that they heard the woman screaming for help and saw the dogs attacking her. Several of the neighbors tried to beat the dogs off, and one of them fired a gun in the air to try to scare the dogs away. Deputies started first aid to stop the severe bleeding until medical units arrived. The woman was eventually flown to a trauma center where she was in critical condition on Monday until she died later that day. The county's animal control took custody of the dogs and the investigation continues.
