Typically birds in a prison yard isn't a big deal. In late December though....Canadian prison guards spotted a pigeon that didn't seem to look like the others. This pigeon was wearing a tiny handcrafted fabric backpack. After chasing the pigeon through the yard, COs were finally able to catch the bird and find out what was in the backpack. According to officers, the backpack was filled with a few grams of meth. They took the drugs into evidence and safely released the bird back into the wild with out it's backpack. Officers typically see drones flying around attempting to drop contraband, but a pigeon is a first for them.
