67 year old Damon Maher is running for mayor in New Rochelle, New York. Recently, Damon here was caught on a Ring doorbell rummaging through the mailbox. While many are outraged and say that the crime should be reported and accused the candidate of trying to commit identity theft, Damon says it was a misunderstanding. He says that he was picking up an envelope from a friend, but went to the wrong house. He admits it was embarrassing and apologized. He's sticking to his story and says he didn't take anything, and hopes everyone can move on from the matter.
