Yes...you can get in trouble for drunken canoeing in Canada. According to reports, in late June, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called to Christina Lake on reports of a drunk man in a canoe. The 51 year old man refused to comply with officers and eventually hid under a dock where he continued to not comply with officers. One of the Mounties had to get into the water to retrieve the man and bring him out. He was taken in and later released when he sobered up and now has to go to court.
