Bank Cuts Off Woman's Benefits After Declaring Her Dead...Twice

Michele McKenny collects Social Security benefits for her and her son to survive on. Recently she was declared deceased by her bank, Bank of America. The bank told her someone called in to report her death, and she asked if there was any documentation to prove she died to which she was told no. She says she went above and beyond to fix the issue, and when it was fixed the first time, it happened again. With her benefits suspended, she was told another adult would have to start receiving her son's benefits because she was unstable. The bank and the Social Security Administration promised an escalated investigation, The bank said they'd refund her money pending an investigation.
