Officials say archaeologists uncovered ancient skulls and bones stacked on top of each other at a site in Mexico. The findings were made in a small town in Jalisco. Researchers found a funerary system where bones were carefully arranged. Skulls were placed in one area and long bones, like femurs, were placed in another part of the system. Officials say the bones were put in patterns after they had become skeletonized. The remains are being preserved for more research.
