During a Good Friday sermon, Father Thomas McHale of Out Blessed Lady Immaculate Church in England made an interesting assertion concerning Jesus and the crucifixion. McHale said Jesus “died with an erection,” which he claims would have happen as a result of crucifixion. This pronouncement prompted a complaint to the priest’s diocese, which was upheld…however, McHale wasn’t removed from his post, but instead likely advised to avoid such topics in future sermons.
