Your things will never be safe. At Florida's Fort Lauderdale -Hollywood International Airport, Paola Garcia sat and waited at Carousel 4 for her luggage that never showed up. Inside was her computer she needed for work and other items, but she really needed her computer. After waiting for two hours, she went to the airline and reported it missing. They said they would sent it to her home The next day, her Apple watch sent a signal but not from the airport. In fact, it was pinging from a home near the airport, so she went to where it was pinging from and discovered luggage everywhere and called the police. Through investigation, authorities found surveillance footage of a 29 year old Junior Bazile going through her suitcase in the back of a retail store where he worked. Come to find out Junior took the MacBook and several other items, out of the suitcase and placed the luggage in a clear plastic bag. By the time police caught up with Junior, he had already gotten rid of the stolen goods. Junior is now facing felony theft charges. Paola thinks this is bigger than just Junior working by himself and feels others at the airport might be involved.
