Some are now blaming the birth rate dropping so significantly in America on smartphones. Studies have found that more than half of 18-to-34-year-old Americans say they’re neither in a “serious relationship” nor living with a partner. What’s more, they don’t feel any pressure to “find a partner,” and admit to “not even looking” for one. A recent study of American men found that 65% said “no one knows me well,” while at the same time, everything they need is in their phone, from video streams to social media to video games, and then…of course…loads of porn. The trend appears to be hitting Gen Z men the hardest, and the study points out that it’s an issue that extends far beyond U.S. borders.
