Authorities in Richmond, California remain perplexed over an issue where dozens of birds are dying after landing on a power line. Residents say about 50 birds have fallen dead to the ground after perching themselves on a specific stretch of power line. They say birds are being electrocuted at an alarming rate and nothing is being done to fix the issue. However, PG&E officials say the bird corpses show no signs of electrocution. They believe the deaths were caused by trauma, potentially from a pellet or BB gun or a slingshot. Contra Costa County Sheriff's officials say they are still investigating the bizarre incidents.
