Attorney Arrested After Yelling While Under the Influence and Naked

If you're ever in the Charleston, South Carolina area and in need of an attorney, you better think twice before hiring THIS guy!

William Mullins McLeod Jr., 53, was charged with public disorderly conduct and booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center Thursday in the early morning.

Apparently, McLeod, was wearing only his undies and a pair of shoes when he decided to take a walk downtown screaming and rambling incoherently. Police placed him in cuffs, tried to identify him but all he kept telling police was that his name was "Superman" and "God". He was arrested and while on the way to the police station he continued yelling about "vague historic events" and various people in his life. He refused to exit the police car and said he wanted to sleep in the vehicle.

Officers noticed McLeod's eyes were "extremely bloodshot and highly dilated," and he was sweating profusely, the report states. One of the officers said these symptoms were typical of someone "under the influence of a stimulant narcotic."

Jail records show McLeod was released Friday on a personal recognizance bond.

McLeod's website says he is a third-generation lawyer in South Carolina, a trial lawyer, and a victims' rights advocate. He is from Walterboro, graduated from Wofford College in 1994, graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997, and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year.

He served two terms as the Chairman of the Charleston County Democratic Party and ran for governor in 2010.
