A whale is dead after it collided with a motor boat in the waters off New Jersey over the weekend. Officials with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center say the accident happened Saturday afternoon near Long Beach Island. The force of the collision with the 20-foot minke whale nearly capsized the boat and sent a passenger into the water. The passenger was not injured. The boat captain says the accident was not caused by the boat antagonizing the whale.
