A 9-year-old girl in Hulbert, Oklahoma, is asking for 1 million Jeeps to escort her late father to his final resting place.
Hailee Disler and her dad Chad Disler shared a love of Jeeps. Chad was active in the local social group known as Rejected Jeepers and would frequently take Hailee with him on rides.
"She absolutely loves Jeepin,” family friend William Osenbaugh told News on 6. “Every time we went, she was there with us and would want to ride in everyone's Jeeps.”
Now the Jeep community is rallying around the Disler family after Chad died from complications related to COVID-19 on August 11. Chad leaves behind his wife April, Hailee and her four siblings.
Rejected Jeepers want to make Hailee's wish come true to help her say goodbye to her dad.
"COVID has devastated a lot of people and it's devastated this family and we're just looking for support. I'm hoping to make this little girl’s dream come true," said Osenbaugh.
So far, the group has about 40 drivers who agreed to take part in the funeral procession. Osenbaugh is asking other Jeep owners to join the procession to help uplift a little girl's spirits.
"If you've got any kind of jeep, it doesn't matter, wrangler, XJ YJ, gator please come out and support this little girl,” said Osenbaugh. “She's going through a hard time right now, so we need to make her smile."
The procession will take place at Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner on Thursday, August, 19, at 1:30 p.m.
