Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have another exciting project in the works. They're teaming up with the Fender Play Foundation and Los Angeles Unified School District to support the arts in schools.
According to ABC, the Grammy-award-winning siblings will donate ukuleles and musical lessons to ten schools in Highland Park. The pair will provide weekly in-person instruction over the next three years.
Not only will 2,500 students benefit from this program, but teachers will, as well. The program also aims to teach fifty teachers how to play the ukelele alongside their students.
"Music changed my life, and it's an incredible feeling to be able to give back to my hometown and provide other kids with the very instrument that made me fall in love with songwriting in the first place,'' Eilish, who grew up in Highland Park. said in a statement. "Through this program, I hope we can help inspire the next generation of creatives.''
