When you're in a rut it's hard to get motivated to do......well anything
There are some research-backed ways that can help you spark that motivation. "Discovering helps me to notice my physical surroundings and get out of my head, which is motivating; discovering helps me activate my body and then allow my thoughts and feelings to be formed by action first, which is motivating,” psychologist Dr. Andrew Cutherbet explains.
There are also some phrases you can tell yourself that’ll help you get motivated. What are they? These eight phrases should do the trick, according to psychologists.
- “I can’t”
- “It’s okay”
- “Shake it out”
- “I made it here”
- “I can’t go back and change it but I can move forward and change from it”
- “All I have to do is get out the front door”
- “Let me give you a hug”
- “This is fear, and fear is in my head. Fear is not the boss of me. I’m the boss of me.”
