What Celebrities Have Food Named After Them?

A LOT of famous people have foods named after them. I even had a sushi roll named after me for a bit (not famous, but it was pretty cool to have something with my name on it!!)

We lost a lot of celebrities last week, and now fans are asking for one of their favorites to have a burrito named after their favorite. Ozzy Osbourne loved his headphones, and his Chipotle Burrito, and now fans think he should get one named after him.

So it made me think. What other famous people have foods named after them, and I was surprised that I didn't know this sooner.

We all have heard of a Shirley Temple, especially if you don't drink/stopped drinking. It puts you in a moment where you can still feel like you can hang with your friends.

But it's actually named after the child star herself...So duh we know that. But what are some others?

Salisbury Steak - Dr. James Salisbury

This one I had no idea about. It was named for a 19th Century health food advocate (so much sodium. Really?) who believed that ground beef 3 times a day could cure everything. Now that I can get down with, and this takes me back to dinners with my mom and dad. Thank you Hungryman meals lol.

General Tso's Chicken - General Tso Tung T'ang

He was a Hunan military leader, and the dish is more of an American Chinese invention then something he actually ate, but the name stuck....kind of like the sticky sauce.

Nachos - Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya

Named after the guy who started everything love most, Nacho himself! (not that we wanted to eat the man, the chips and cheesy goodness!) But the story goes he had put Nachos together for hungry customers in Mexico in the 1940's. I'm hungry and I'll take a plate now lol

Sandwich - John Montagu the 4th AKA The Earl of Sandwich

The Early wanted to keep playing cards (funny to me, because there is a Earl of Sandwich in Vegas in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, so this checks) So he asked for meat, between 2 pieces of bread. BOOM!! The original happy meal!!

So I say since Ozzy loved the Chipotle Burritos so much that he ate them almost every day for years....give him the burrito. What's it going to hurt? Sales? I think you're doing amazing, and I would buy it just to try it and I go to Chipotle every chance I get.

RIP Ozzy, We'll fight for your burrito.
