Jakob Nowell, son of Sublime's original frontman Brad Nowell might be finished with the band. I'm hoping this isn't true, because he's such a perfect fit for the band....oh, and he sounds like his dad. Check it out.
Jakob Nowell told Billboard that fans likely won't see another album from him with Sublime after "Until The Sun Explodes" which comes out today. So no more NEW music from Sublime??
Nowell called the album a "one off," stating "Unless a child of mine wants to make another one day, this is the last one I'm gonna make."
He plans to focus on his own project Jakobs Castle while continuing to "play a few Sublime shows every year."
Sublime has upcoming shows including San Diego's Petco Park Saturday (6/13/26), New Jersey's Park Stage June 19th, and festivals in Portland and Salt Lake City. Also, I thought there was a big festival they said they were going to do? So now with it be with Jakob's Castle? Now we wait and see what the future holds for Sublime yet again.
