Man With Meth in Underwear Tells Deputy 'There's Nothing Wrong with Drugs'

41-year-old Thomas Carpenter was recently pulled over while driving around with his girlfriend and two children riding along in the back seat of his vehicle. When the officer was questioning him, he noticed Thomas and his girlfriend both kept dozing in and out like it was hard for them to stay awake! Thomas admitted to the officer that they had both just smoked a bit of pot before being pulled over. Well, that might not have been a problem elsewhere but neither of them had a medical marijuana card. Thomas was then arrested and taken to jail. During a search at the jail, deputies said they found 11 small, tied sandwich bags with a crystal-like substance in the front of his underwear.

PCSO said the substances in the bag and underwear tested positive for methamphetamine with a weight of about 322.1 grams.

Carpenter was charged with amphetamine trafficking or methamphetamine 14 grams or over, possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, smuggling contraband into a county detention facility and three counts of drug paraphernalia. During the search, officers said Thomas looked at them and said, "There's nothing wrong with drugs".
