A woman who has been diagnosed with mechanophilia, a sexual attraction to vehicles and machines ran from her home and chased a car she was attracted to, according to police reports. Police officers in a town near Philadelphia got a call about a female running on the roadway with 2 other females chasing her. Officers found the pair chasing the woman were her home health aides assigned to her. When officer caught up with the woman she told them about her diagnosis and “was not trying to get hit by any cars, she was only trying to see them because she is attracted to them.” Police told the woman her actions were dangerous and she needed to go home." Officers returned her to her home where she hugged, kissed and became emotional over a white Nissian Pathfinder that she called "Husky Bear." The woman also yelled at a near by car because she did not like it. Police told the woman that she could not be outside causing a disturbance and needed to go inside. After kissing her pathfinder several more times, she went into her residence. The health aides told police they are “not allowed to put their hands on her, so she runs off often.”
