New Bourbon Is Flavored By Beaver Secretion

A distillery in New Hampshire is creating a new musky bourbon. Tamworth distillery is using the secretions of a beaver's castor sac for their new bourbon. The castoreum has a history of being used as flavoring and is on a small list the FDA calls "generally recognized as safe." The company says that the castoreum has bright and fruit qualities, and adds rich leathery notes along with a creamy vanilla aroma.
